Rotterdam (Netherlands)/Bremerhaven (Germany). AKQUINET has now added an application to its industry solution CHESSCON for the port and terminal sector: CHESSCON Live View offers a 3D view with all information on the terminal's machinery and container inventory based on real-time data. The resulting "digital twin" provides an intuitive overview and proactive planning. At TOC, AKQUINET will offer a sneak peek at CHESSCON Live View at booth E114.
"Some talk about it, we have it: the digital twin for the terminal, a digital view of the real terminal in real time. This gives operators an intuitive overview of all operational areas of the entire terminal. Because the brain works pictorially, not in lists," explains Oliver Jelsch, Sales Manager of the terminal sector at AKQUINET. At this year's TOC Europe from 14-16 June in Rotterdam, the solution provider will present its software at booth E114.
CHESSCON Live View displays entire equipment, container inventory and vehicle processing
CHESSCON Live View first reads the container inventory and info on the entire machinery and equipment status from a database, e. g. a TOS. Any change in the condition of the equipment and yard inventory is immediately reported to the system. Via a sensor-based online connection to the containers, which can have an unlimited number of attributes, the second-by-second actual comparison is performed. From this, CHESSCON Live View provides a highly detailed and realistic 3-D visualization of the terminal. The entire equipment and all vehicles such as straddle carriers, trucks, cranes and lighting or barriers can be connected to the system via sensors. Standardized TIC 4.0 messages are used for this purpose. In addition to information on the current position, other data such as tire pressure, oil and battery levels can be recorded and visualized. External data from shipping companies and freight forwarders can also be integrated into the system.
From exact reality to better planning and analysis
CHESSCON Live View not only provides a 3D overview in real time that can be viewed from all sides. In it, users can also click on individual equipment and vehicles to view dashboards with details. What also goes beyond reality: Individual objects can be filtered and colored. For example, all available objects can be colored according to their battery status, productivity or efficiency level. This facilitates and improves short- and medium-term planning. CHESSCON Live View also improves analysis, since, for example, statuses of vehicles and equipment can be analyzed retrospectively.
